Cafeteria Hnos Mateo

I rarely write comments but could not stand this time. Visited the place for 2 times. Outstanding tortillas de patatas, other meals as well. Prices are ok, maybe not the cheapest but absolutely worth it - we stayed full until evening dinner after our breakfast there. Mateo served us in person and provided us with an exceptional service. It’s a gem.

es difícil salir más contento de un sitio. la comida está buenísima, con una calidad-precio muy difícil de superar. el menú diario vale 10 euros e incluye primero, segundo, postre, pan y bebida. pero es que encima la presentación de los platos está super cuidada y los trabajadores son súper amables y atentos. le ponen esmero a todo lo que hacen. sitio para repetir una y mil veces.

With my wife and children we were looking for a local restaurant where we can eat well and we found it. If you don't want to fall into a touristic restaurant in the centre, it's worth going a little further and visiting this hidden gem. What you should be prepared for is that the staff and Mr Mateo don't speak English. The menu is also only in Spanish. That's why I had to take one star off for service. Luckily, a guest who was enjoying a fantastic meal helped us out and we were able to order. Mr. Mateo was there afterwards walking among the people asking how they liked it and playing with our children. The atmosphere here was incredibly enjoyable. I recommend it to everyone who wants to experience how the local people eat.

A cozy bar with good food and a great host. Great price for the food you get. Absolutely amazing.

Just had an excellent lunch from the set menu, 3 courses with a soft drink, bread and dessert for €10.00. We had lentil soup, chicken skewers with fries, and a massive chocolate mouse. My wife had long conversations on the recipes and the young lady that served us spoke very good English. The Patron is a very animated, entertaining and welcoming guy. Just across from the Mercado and close to the Bus Station. Highly recommended. Worth catching the bus up from Las Palmas if for no other reason.

¡No se puede atender mejor. Matías es el mejor camarero que te puedes encontrar y después Isa y Antonio cocinan que es una maravilla. Un pequeño rincón en Arucas que ofrecen un menú por 10 euros con unos platos que tuvimos que pedir la mitad para llevar. Un lugar excelente, con comida de calidad, con cuidado en la presentación y mucho bien rollo. Aquí repetiremos y mucho.

De los mejores sitios donde se puede desayunar o almorzar en Arucas sin duda. Precios muy competitivos, todo muy casero y de gran sabor. Ideal seria que algún día buscaran algún local mas grande por la zona y pusieran mas mesas o terraza.
